Arch Hooks Bio
In a nutshell...
Arch was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas. He started playing the piano at age 4. Arch is considered a prodigy or virtuoso! As the years passed Arch also taught himself to play four other instruments. It was at Fritz's, in Amarillo, where Arch made his professional debut on a 10 ft. grand piano signed by Liberace, at 19 years old. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas.
Since then, Arch's performance reputation, and music leadership has taken him to many cities across the United States as well as New Zealand and the Netherlands. He has performed for well over 5 million people worldwide! Each performance, unique unto itself, taking his audience on a musical journey that only a handful of entertainers in the world are capable of accomplishing. Arch has an incredible ability to communicate with each individual in his audience.
Arch Hooks has three (all original) CDs:
Piano Talk - Back Seat Oracle - Chemistry all three CD's released to rave reviews in addition to the great responses with his audience and fans. Arch is in the studio now working on his fourth CD (working title "Bat Man for a Day" to be released in 2011…). The single "I'm F@%king Bat Man" released January 2011, and is available on CDBaby, iTunes, Amazon, plus… The Music Video is on YouTube!
Arch has written several songs over the years and is still adding to his growing arsenal of original material. His lyrics and music are from his heart and soul. With all of his original CD's, Arch performs all lead voices and instruments (one exception) and takes pride in rejecting the use of samplers and sequencers. That means one track at a time, Arch says he prefers to do it old school… play it!
Arch’s true intention is best said in Piano Talk’s preface:
“I don’t plan to change the world,
but I think I can show you a good time… enjoy!”

Well yes… They are his logo.
But the truth of the matter is Arch likes to play piano in the dark.
